Hanzi Clock does not collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your iPhone

Your choices (the dial, numeral set, calendar and settings) are saved on your iPhone, in storage shared between the app and its widgets. They never leave the device.

The one network request

When you open the set-watch panel (對錶), the app sends one small time query (NTP, 48 bytes) to Apple's time server, time.apple.com, to compare your iPhone's clock with network time. The request carries no information about you, but like any internet request it is visible to the server along with your IP address, under Apple's own policies. Nothing else in the app uses the network.

Purchases

The optional one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only learns, from Apple, whether the unlock has been bought.

Location, contacts, photos, the camera and the microphone

The app does not ask for or use any of them. The lunar date and solar terms are calculated on the device from the date alone.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children.
